about

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS RELEASE GO TO THE CLEAN AIR TASK FORCE (www.catf.us)

Read more about why below.

Edit: this album is now available on streaming services after its initial 3-month exclusivity to Bandcamp.

------

At the most literal level, this is a collection of ambient music. Nine songs; slow, unfolding chordal motifs. But it's also something more...

An overused adjective to describe ambient music is "glacial." Instead of running from this label, I used it as inspiration. The result is an album that reflects my concern for our changing climate, which has been pushed past the point of safe return by our collective inertia and inaction. Perhaps there is no better physical measuring stick of this tragedy in slow-motion than glaciers and ice caps, which are disappearing one icy cliff at a time with a thunder of waves audible only to local wildlife, but with reverberations that we will all feel in uncountable ways over many years. The songs are sketches of these giants, both of their majesty and natural beauty, and of what their disappearance means for all of us.

---
All proceeds from this release will go to the Clean Air Task Force.

While it's unlikely that sales from a self-published ambient album will be the lynchpin of our global climate strategy, it's clear that no *One Thing* will save us. Instead, we need to embrace a multitude of solutions acted upon both locally and globally by as many people and organizations as possible. No step is too small nor too large. And though my sphere of influence is small, this is something I can do, and you can help me do it.

So all proceeds, for as long as this album is sold or streamed, will go to The Clean Air Task Force. They are doing great work to help move the world on this issue and are highly recommended by Giving Green (www.givinggreen.earth).

I will post periodic updates, with sales and donation receipts, on this page.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy listening.
